Recognized by UNESCO as World City of Gastronomy, Hatay was home to TASPAKON Regional Food Contest. Under Crystal Industrial sponsorship, 36 teams attended the event and presented Hatay’s local flavors to the jury. The mayor, Prof. Dr. Lütfü Savaş, was also present to hand awards and certificates to all participants.
Crystal provided the necessary refrigerators, ovens and cooking equiments for each team.
Gökhan Tufan, chairman of TASPAKON, announced that the next event will be held on January 27. Taspakon (Tüm Aşçılar ve Pastacılar Konfederasyonu) is a confederation for confectionary and pastry cooks in Turkey.
